The Court of the Central Texas Empire is a designated
501(c)(3) non-profit organization which raises money for
other non-profit organizations in Central Texas. It does
this by presenting benefit shows which have fun with
"gender bending", sponsoring auctions, dinners and other
fund raising events.
The Court, now in its 13th Reign year, is a member of
the International Court System which is comprised of 72
courts throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and
Great Britain. The Court of the Central Texas Empire was
founded in 1992 by Richard Tracy and Carma Sue Snow as a
Barony and in 1993 became a Court. Since its' inception,
the Court has raised over $100,000.00 in Central Texas
for Central Texas organizations. Recipients of funds
have been McCARES (the McLennan County HIV/AIDS
Resources & Education Services) in Waco, CTSS (Central
Texas Support Services) and its predecessor, Bluebonnet
Health and Human Services in Temple, Planned Parenthood
of Central Texas (to provide free mammograms for women
at risk), the Gay & Lesbian Alliance of Central Texas
(GLACT), Central Texas Gay and Lesbian Pride, PFLAG
(Parents, Friends and Family of Lesbians and Gays),
Central Texas Metropolitan Community Church From the
Heart, the Tilitha Koums Institute, the Latin American
Community Center and the Names Project AIDS Memorial
Quilt Display in Waco.
Each year the Court holds Coronation at which it
presents its' newly elected Emperor and Empress
for the coming reign year. Reign XIII began on June 17, 2006 and
will continue to September 15, 2007. On September 15, 2007, the
Court held Coronation XIV and Reign XIV
began. The current Regent Emperor is Alan "Baby" Riffin
and the current Regent Empress is SweeLo Riffin. Other members of the
Court are invested with titles for each reign year. You
may visit our Line of
Succession page to learn who our Court Members are
or our College of Monarchs
page to learn who our past Emperors and Empresses are.
Throughout each Reign, the Court is seeking other
organizations for which to raise money, as well as
continuing to support those organizations for which it
has already raised money. The Court is always seeking
input from residents of Central Texas as to other
organizations for which to raise money.
If you know of an organization in need or would just
